BasicGrey Clippings + Paper Cottage Blog Hop

***BLOG HOP HAS ENDED----- stay tuned for winner announcement***

hellooooo BasicGrey fans!!
I am super excited to show you sneaks of two *NEW* BasicGrey collections that will be releasing in late June!

I had a VERY hard time choosing a favorite! And I need to choose a favorite, you see, so YOU can win what I have chosen!!!
I am going to go with..... the clippings collection!!

Secrets, drama, intrigue—BasicGrey’s Clippings line reads like a mystery novel you can’t put down. Filled to the brim with ransom notes, typewriter keys, wool herringbone suit, a blue floral dress pattern, and deep red lipstick, you’ll want to read every note and memorize every detail.

And I also really like this coordinating embellishment, "Snippets":

I love the funky ephemera in this collection!! How about you?

Would you like to win a 6x6 'clippings' collection paper pad AND the "snippets" embellishment shown above?!
Simply leave a comment below (leave your name) telling me what you like about this collection by 12:01 am. EST on the 16th.
A random winner will be selected the morning of the 16th.
Make sure you hit all of the blogs along the hop to increase your chances of winning!!

Now it’s time  to hop over Yohko Takiguchi's blog. Remember, if you find a link that doesn’t work, you can always hop back to the BasicGrey blog for a list of direct links to all the blogs in the hop.

Good Luck to you all!!

April sketch challenge - MME

Long time no post, yikes!!
I am learning that working full-time and lots of overtime doesn't leave much free time for papercrafting!
However, I did steal a few minutes this past weekend to create a card for My Mind's Eye's April Sketch Challenge.
Here is the sketch:
and here is my card:
I used papers from the Follow Your Heart "Be Happy" collection.
Clean and simple, just the way I like it :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!
I actually have more to share (gasp!), some BasicGrey DT cards... so stay tuned these next few days ;)

BasicGrey & PSA Essentials blog hop!!

BasicGrey has teamed up with PSA Essentials for a fun cross promotion, and since I design for BasicGrey (still can't believe it, pinch me!!), I got to participate!!
Here is the PSA stamp set that we got to work with:

And here is the card that I made using the PSA Peel & Stick Stamper/Stamps:
I chose to use the "Happy Easter" stamp, which I punched out with a circle punch. I also used BasicGrey's *new* Plumeria collection... papers, stickers and rosette.... love the unique colors in this collection!!

How about a giveaway?!
BasicGrey and PSA Essentials have teamed together to offer this fantastic prize -

100 Fresh & Fun Handmade Cards - book giveaway blog hop!!

Hello my friends!!

I am *very* excited about today's blog post....

Early last year, the ubertalented Kimber McGray approached me about contributing to one of her books.... 'yes m'am' was my immediate reply!! Have you seen her books?! LOVE what Kimber puts together!!

Fast forward several months, and the book is now available for purchase.... or if you are lucky, you can win a copy, signed by Kimber herself!!

You will LOVE this book, full of amazing cards by amazing designers. The step-outs are so helpful, I love that Kimber added this detail! AND all of the cards are in some way interactive, from spinners and shakers, to sliders and swivels... this book is truly a great resource for the times that you want to make a unique, interactive card that leaves everyone saying, "how did you do that?" ;)

I have two cards on the book (my cupcake spinner card made the cover too!!).

Here is the cupcake spinner card that I created, using some Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker papers:

And here is my second card, again using some Nikki Sivils papers (I just LOVE that turtle!!):

The second photo shows the inside of the card, you slide it open to reveal a rainbow and sunny sky ;)

Here is a close-up of the sliding mechanism for this card:

Fun stuff, no?!

This book is now available at Amazon.com  HERE and can likely be found at any major bookstore.
However, you can also try your chance at winning a signed copy of the book by participating in today's blog hop! Simply leave a comment below for your chance to win! Winners will be drawn on Monday, March 12th.

Have fun hopping!

Rae Barthel  (you are here)

Remember to leave a comment below for your chance to win a signed copy of the book!! :)
I'll be back on Monday with the name of the winner!!

Have a great weekend!!
